One of the most important things to be in life is authentic. Few actions contribute to contentment in all areas of life than the application of one’s authenticity and truth. It is only in places where we act put of honesty and passion that we create things – be they jobs, relationships, hobbies, organizations, etc – that matter and that positively serve us and the world.
Now, this authenticity does not come without a price. Ask anyone who has ever stood up for what they believed in, and they will likely have war stories about the pain and price who being who they are. Yet, I have come to believe that this cost does not compare to the internal agony of living a lie.
Whether it is telling someone that you care about your honest feelings or it is standing before the world to declare your sexuality, the freedom of not having to hide is immeasurable. There will be consequences either way, so why not choose the path of truth? At the end of the day, YOU are the only you that you have. If others leave you, you will still be there.
As I, Alexandria, the founder and manager of ARTaylor LLC, have been evolving and wrestling with my personal identity, I’ve come to understand that my business needs to come more in line with my personal passions and values. My heart has been and always will be in helping people and seeing people grow to realize their visions.
However, in this time with all that is happening in the world, it has been impressed upon me to seek to serve those communities in which I live. With that in mind, ARTaylor LLC is refocusing on
- Black people
- Members of the LGBT community
With this, I have introduced a new logo. The T in Taylor is reminiscent of the Ankh, an Ancient Egyptian symbol meaning “life.” That is what ARTaylor LLC brings to its clients and to the world: life.
New products and services, as well as a new website, are on the horizon. Join us on this journey, and let us give you life.
